  • Department of Conservation
    The Department of Conservation (DOC) is the central government organisation charged with conserving the natural and historic heritage of New Zealand on behalf of and for the benefit of present and future New Zealanders.
  • Pukaha Mount Bruce
    New Zealand national wildlife centre for captive breeding, conservation education and forest restoration.
  • Landcare Research
    Environmental research organisation specialising in sustainable management of land resources optimising primary production, enhancing biodiversity, increasing the resource efficiency of businesses, and conserving and restoring the natural assets of NZ communities.
  • Ministry for the Environment
    The Ministry for the Environment works with others to identify New Zealand's environmental problems and get action on solutions. It advises the Government on New Zealand's environmental laws, policies, standards and guidelines, monitors how they are working in practice, and take any action needed to improve them.
  • New Zealand Biodiversity Strategy
    This site provides information about New Zealand's native biodiversity, what is being done to help conserve and manage it, and who is involved.
  • Biosecurity New Zealand
    Biosecurity New Zealand is the lead agency in New Zealand's biosecurity system established in November 2004.
